Once I figured out that the Zelma Rose began with a "Z" instead of an "S", I discovered several articles about the wreck.  Will see if I can find/make an MP3 of the song of the same name.

I dived the wreck of the Welsh freighter Carnarvon this past week.  Photos and video are now up along with some additional information.

I had the privilege of diving the wreck of the Atlantic Pearl this past week.  A photo album and additional information are now online.

Just added maps, photo albums, and information about the Deal's Town ruins, and the old Cape Eleuthera Resort.

I just uploaded a flow-chart style guide to identifying bats found in the Bahamas to the Files section.

I've added new photo albums from 7 caves, and videos from 2, along with some additional background information to http://www.projecteleuthera.org/caves

I've added some research papers to the Files section, and descriptions of several species of animals which are unique to Eleuthera under the Caves and Underwater Sites sections of the site.  I'll post additional papers as I get them.

I just added portions of the Hatchet Bay Farm in addition to a crashed drug-smuggling plane near Whale Point, both under the Ruins & Ghost Towns section.

I've added about two dozen new wrecks from the New York Times archive and Jaggers' A Shipwreck Guide to the Bahamas.  Beyond that, just trying to wrap up a few loose ends before the site goes dormant for the summer.

I've added new sections corresponding to the ruins of an old estate on Royal Island, a ruined hotel, homes, and cancer clinic on Whale Point, and a few sites of interest on Egg Island under the Ruins & Ghost Towns section of the site.

We've finally located the Bar Bay ghost town!  We were able to find a church, a tomb, and the remains of what appears to have been a stone house.  Subsequent visits are no doubt in order.

I've also added sections with description and photos of Preacher's Cave and the Savannah Sound MISTRAM site.

New items have also been added to the Historic Timeline section.

A map and information about the base ruins are now up, and I'll be adding some photo albums soon.

I've just added a large number of shipwrecks off James Point.  If I can secure access to a boat, hopefully many of these can be located in the coming months.

A map and photos of the Big Ban plantation have been added to the Ruins section.  Google Earth indicates that I missed two buildings which I'll try to add next time I'm in the neighborhood, so a preliminary count indicates the remains of at least 16 buildings on the plantation.

I've added numerous photos from several newly-discovered buildings in Old Bannerman Town.

Yesterday, I was able to photograph 90% of the Big Ban plantation in Millars.  I'll be creating a site map of this site soon, which will feature photographs and GPS coordinates of the remains of 15 buildings.

Yesterday, Carl Knowles, Theo Neilly and I made another expedition down to Bannerman Town.  I'll soon be posting pictures from that visit.  Highlights include several newly-discovered buildings, part of a mill wheel, a traditional (dome-shaped) oven, and a lignum vitae forest with literally hundreds of mature trees.

We also learned about the Big Ban plantation, which I'll attempt to photograph and document soon.

I've added writeups of numerous shipwrecks to the Underwater Sites section.  In the long term, I'll try to track down GPS coordinates and visit some of these sites to get photographs.

I did a dive on the Rock Sound Ocean Hole last Sunday, although the low visibility from the algae in the water made for very poor photos.  I'll post a dive log excerpt along with some of the pictures I took as placerholders until I can get back down to take better ones.

In the coming week, I'll try to add writeups and photographs pertaining to several of the Ocean Holes, along photos of the cave across from the African Methodist church in Rock Sound.

The website is officially online as of December 2009.  Presently, this website is in its infancy; most of the information is on Old Bannerman Town.  This previously-undocumented and largely-unknown location was prioritized in the hopes that knowledge of Old Bannerman Town's existence can be widely propagated, and its preservation taken into consideration during discussions of the Lighthouse Beach Development (less than a mile away!)

In the coming weeks, I'll be adding photos taken over the last five years spanning Hatchet Bay cave, the NAVFAC Eleuthera/Eleuthera AAFB military base ruins, and the Cape Eleuthera resort ruins.  I also have plans to document several underwater sites, some of which appear to have been undiscovered until now.
